Tango in Christchurch

From this Thursday 23rd May we will start teaching (for a temporary time until Michael & Sarah's new studio is ready) at a new venue

THORRINGTON School Hall at 22A Colombo St. Cashmere

The class will have the same structure as before:

7pm      until 8pm:          beginners class

8pm      until 8.30pm:     exercise techniques (all levels)

8.30pm until 9.30pm:     intermediate and advanced class

The cost for the class is $16 per person. There are concession cards available as well.

Joaquín Amenábar is “one of the few living masters of the bandoneón”, a rare combination of master musician who can talk the language of social dancers. Joaquín is professor of bandoneón at the Buenos Aires’ Higher Conservatory of Music; at the University of Buenos Aires’ Lopez Buchardo National Conservatory; and at the Avellaneda School of Folk Music. He is a gifted composer and arranger, undertakes concert performances and is the director of the tango orchestra “Orquesta Típica de la Guardia Vieja”.
