Xtra Spam filter eating tango emails - how to fix this problem

For those people on Xtra who are not receiving tango list emails - they are probably in your spam folder. Neil has written instructions about what to do to 'unlock' your spam filters to let the 'tango.gen' emails through.

The first point is that the XTRA spam filter works BEFORE you download your emails, so you will never see the filtered emails unless you use webmail.

To access XTRA webmail type this into the address field of your web browser: "www.xtramail.co.nz". This will take you to Yahoo!Xtra. You then need to enter your email address
and password. Your email address needs to include all the bits. So if you called yourself "tango" in xtra you need to enter "tango@xtra.co.nz".

It gets a bit complicated here... You want the Pro Mail version not the Classic version. It will tell you in the top left hand corner whether you have Pro or Classic. If it is the Classic version click the "Options" on the Top
Right and you will see "Yahoo!Xtra Mail has arrived! Try it now!" Click on the "Try it now" bit to change versions.

Ok! So you are looking at Yahoo!Xtra Pro Mail. Now on the Left you will see a list of Folders. Click on the "Spam"
folder. You will probably have 1000s of emails in it (the vast majority will be total junk). Click the "from" column header to sort the emails by sender then scan down them looking for ones from people you actually want to hear from. Click the wee box to highlight them and then click "Not Spam". This will move them into your "Inbox" on webmail - from whence they will be downloaded next time you
use your email client to get your email onto your computer.

It will also tell the XTRA spam filter to let emails from that source through in the future.
